The House investigative committee has published a batch of approximately 70 photos secured from the holdings of late convicted individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third such disclosure from a tranche of in excess of 95,000 photos the body has acquired from Epstein's estate. It features images of excerpts from the novel Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured photos of female overseas passports.

This disclosure comes hours before the December 19th due date for the Department of Justice to release each files related to its probe into Epstein.

"These images pose more questions about exactly what the Justice Department has in its holdings," stated the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Photos Released

Several of the photos made public on recently depict Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky on a private plane; Bill Gates standing alongside a female whose identity is redacted; Steve Bannon sitting at a workstation opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the newest affluent, powerful individuals to be photographed in Epstein estate photos released by the committee - earlier disclosed photos also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, ex- US treasury secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Appearing in the photographs is is not considered indication of any misconduct, and many of the featured men have said they were not participating in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a press release accompanying the photo publication, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein estate's representatives did not supply explanatory details or timeframes for the images.

"Photos were chosen to furnish the public with openness into a representative sample of the photos obtained from the property, and to offer understanding into Epstein's circle and his extremely troubling activities," the statement states.

The release also includes multiple photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita inscribed in ink across several locations of a woman's body, including her upper body, feet, hipbone, and back. Lolita narrates the tale of a young girl who was groomed by a adult literature professor.

A particular quote from the novel inscribed across a woman's torso reads, "Lolita's name: the end of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the roof of the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a series of photos of female passports and official papers from countries globally, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the information on the IDs, like identities and birth dates, is redacted but the committee indicated in a announcement that the passports pertain to "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his conspirators were involved with".

A further photo depicts Epstein seated at a table intimately in the company of three individuals whose faces have been censored - one has her palm on Epstein's torso under his clothing, and another individual is leaning to examine a close-by computer. Epstein can be seen to be helping the third individual fasten a piece of jewelry.

A further photograph made public is a screenshot of SMS messages from an unknown sender who states they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are demanding "$one thousand dollars per female".

Image Publication Comes Before DOJ Due Date

The body has many thousands of photos in its holdings from the Epstein property, which are "both graphic and mundane," its statement on this week clarified.

The Congressional committee first legally compelled the holdings of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on accusations of sex trafficking, in August.

The photographs and records the Epstein property gave to the committee are separate from what is largely referred to "the Epstein files". Those files are records under the Department of Justice's custody associated with its own investigation into Epstein.

Pursuant to the recently passed law, which President Trump enacted last month, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to publish its records. The full nature of what's contained in the DOJ's files is unclear, and it's likely that a large amount of the content will be significantly obscured, similar to House Oversight Committee releases
